The helpful staff provided an extension cord for better access to outlets, while the convenient kitchenette made it easy to prepare meals during our stay.

Really nice experience there. Excellent little and quirky hotel in an unbeatable position close to many attractions. Well-kept and brand-new rooms and hypoallergenic pillows. Location near to the ferry which was a bonus. Plus, 10 minutes drive from Buttertubs Marsh.

Comfortable and easy location for visiting bars and restaurants. Plus, 15 minutes drive from Maffeo Sutton Park.

Oh, where to start? The noise from the bulk fuel plant shattered my dreams of peace and tranquility. And then there's the 10 am checkout-the audacity! As someone who clearly deserves better, a complimentary gesture would have been nice. It could have been great-but alas, it was another run-of-the-mill experience.

The location of the hotel was perfect and exceptionally nice - within easy walking distance of Beach Estates Park. There were the main shopping center and stores around the property. The room we had included a fireplace and a couch.

Location: the hotel was very close to ferries and town and the pub and Departure Bay ferry terminal...

would love to come back here some time.

The room was huge and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, and all the kitchenware. The tv was great, and the beds were super comfy! Plus, the spa facilities were a nice touch for relaxation.

Great place for couples looking for comfort

The staff was super helpful and Marlene even pointed us to some great restaurants nearby which we wouldn't have found on our own.

It wasn't the cheapest option but for the quality, I'll take it.

A cozy stay by the ferry

The Buccaneer Inn provided us with a good experience, with a well-equipped room that fostered a true home-away-from-home feel. The warm hospitality from Marlene and Dave.

Exiting the parking lot was a bit tricky due to restricted sightlines, which required extra caution. There was a bit of noise from the surrounding area that occasionally disrupted the peace.

The rooms incorporate local art and there's a unique visitors' guide with a Nanaimo Bar recipe. Plenty of space with well-maintained facilities and nice amenities like a wood-burning fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen allow for a comfortable experience.

Noise from a nearby bulk fuel plant can disturb your sleep, especially during the early morning and late night hours. Some rooms lack air conditioning, which can be a problem on hotter days.

Enjoyed the tv and electric kettle. Lacked enough luggage storage space.

The remodeled garden level room offered a quiet escape, with good wifi and an inviting layout. The location was convenient for walking to the ferry dock and nearby dining options. The kitchenette was basic but functional. Parking was limited, and some noise from the surrounding area disrupted the peace at times. The lack of air conditioning might make warmer days uncomfortable.

A fine choice for a day tour in Nanaimo with excellent value for money. The king suite was spacious, making it feel like home. Consider earplugs due to road noise at night.

Breakfast has a lot of goodies to choose from. The location is great, close to many attractions, a secure garden area, downtown, and the main highway leading to shopping 🌟.
